Compassionate help for struggling couples, families, and parents

Resolve any disputes you may have with your partner or within the family through specialised therapy, counselling and support.

Our Area of Focus

Couples therapy

Being in a relationship brings its own struggles, and sometimes we need an objective third party to assist us in getting over hurdles. We provide a safe and neutral space for partners to explore their relationship issues.

Our approach involves improving communication, resolving conflicts, rebuilding trust, and enhancing intimacy. We help couples understand each other's perspectives and work collaboratively to strengthen their relationship.

Parenting Advice

Being a parent is one of life’s most challenging roles. And sometimes, all you need is a little help from professionals.

At Masterpiece Psychology, we offer guidance and strategies to help you effectively raise and manage your children. Renee and trained members of the team will work with you and your children to develop successful and positive behaviours.

We are also equipped to develop parenting plans for parents who are separated.

There is a lot of advice out there. However, it is best to seek evidence-based solutions based on research.

Mediation

In situations where couples or family members face disagreements or conflicts, we offer mediation services. Mediation is a process whereby a neutral third party, known as the mediator, assists two or multiple parties, like couples, to reach an agreement and resolve their conflicts or disputes.

Our role as mediators is to facilitate constructive dialogue, help parties understand each other's viewpoints, and work towards mutually acceptable resolutions.

Family Dispute Resolution

Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) is a process designed to assist families in resolving conflicts and disputes outside of the court system.

Here at Masterpiece Psychology, we help families reach agreements on various issues, such as parenting arrangements, who the child lives with and how often they see their other parent, property division, and financial matters.

Family Therapy

In family therapy, we facilitate a safe space for open communication, helping families resolve conflicts, strengthen relationships, and navigate life transitions together.

We guide families in developing effective parenting strategies, coping mechanisms, and emotional connections.

This varies depending on your specific situation. Typically, sessions are change to fortnightly, but they can be more or less frequent based on your needs and goals.

Success rates vary, as the outcome depends on multiple factors, including the specific issues being addressed and each partner’s commitment to the process. In our experience, many couples experience significant improvements in their relationship after a couple of sessions.
Therapy provides a safe space to negotiate what topics are discussed. The therapist can help prioritise issues and ensure both partners feel heard.
